Quick and dirty work might win some easy points with clients and customers in the short term, but when quality is over looked for quantity, the results can be disastrous.
I see the conflict of quality with quantity as a common theme in movies, books, and stories. One example is a manufacturing company that purchases screws from a third party maker. It was time to review contracts and there was pressure from the top to lower costs. The procurement team got approval to outsource screws to a new maker for nearly half the cost.
Fast forward several months and we see several customer service complaints and demands for refunds due to faulty screws and product malfunction.
In the end, cutting corners on quality led to higher cost to the company from bad press from customer complaints and high outflow of cash to reimburse unsatisfied customers.これ仕事の性質によりますね。
